Day 6

Saturday and it feels like the weekend after all...

We set off from Musselburgh about 9 am but took our time driving around the coastline... We called into Dunbar and then discovered Pease Bay... found a caravan park but also had to drive through a ford and then a first gear drive up the other side!

After that we decided to try Eyemouth where we stopped for a coffee break but ended up with local ice cream walking along the sea front - a really pretty and friendly place!

After Eyemouth we made our way to Berwick upon Tweed - very helpful staff at the Travelodge here. Ian went for a walkabout whilst I put my feet for a while....

Later we went down to the river front, walked the wall around the town and read up on Lowry around the Lowry Trail!!! Watched a band from Peru performing in the town square, Tribes del Sol, and bought one of their cds!

On our way out of the town we called into the Haven Caravan Park where they had a 'caravan sale' and had a very informative and interesting conversation with Brian (from Glasgow) - thanks for the information regarding caravan ownership!

Tomorrow we set off for Newcastle upon Tyne and plan to drive along the coast again and look around at Bamburgh...

Back on here again in 24 hours....
