1 day to go

Well its come around really quickly....

Tomorrow is THE BIG DAY....

Today we took my nieces Emma and Nicola to Swansea's Museum Green for the Race for Life- I was delighted that they chose to run with my name on their backs ATB (Aunty Berni)...

I was also interviewed by Angela Jay of Real Radio Wales as a cancer survivor and the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress of Swansea were in attendance for the whole event - whilst on the stage our Lord Mayor congratulated everyone involved in the Race for Life and also referred to Motoring for Maggies! fabulous..................

My particular thanks to Angela Jay and Tony Wright of the Real Breakfast Show, Real Radio and all of their colleagues (yes we do have the Real Radio sticker on the car and will be wearing Real Radio caps everywhere we go on Motoring for Maggies!)

We also have a lap quilt specially made for me by my cousin Patti in Florida and an flourescent orange sign 'safe motoring' from my fellow students at Jeff Kirkhouse's Monday Art Class in St Hilary's Church, Killay, Swansea.

All my bags are packed and ready to go.... however we are not leaving on a jet plane - but in Fifi my 15 year old Fiesta...

Thanks to everyone interested enough to read this blog and I hope you will continue to do so over the next two weeks.

If you do not have time to check the donations web page the running total on Sunday eve 22nd June 2008 is £1966
